Welcome to Life Images by Jill

Welcome to Life Images by Jill.........Stepping into the light and bringing together the images and stories of our world. I am a photographer, writer and multi-media artist.
Focussing mainly on Western Australia and Australia, I am seeking to preserve images and memories of the beautiful world in which we live and the people in it.

About me

Welcome to my blog. I am a passionate wildflower and travel photographer who lives in the beautiful south west corner of Western Australia. I also enjoy exploring many facets of art practice, including my latest love botanical-eco-printing with  leaves onto fabric and paper.

I am also a Freelance Journalist. My published work specialises in Western Australian travel articles and stories about inspiring everyday people.

Through my blog I am seeking to preserve images and memories of the beautiful world in which we live and the people in it. And in many ways it is my journal of everyday life.

As well as Freelance Journalism and photography I do botanical eco-printing on paper and cloth.

I completed a Higher Diploma of Advanced Freelance Journalism with the Australian College of Journalism and started writing freelance in 2001

I have completed several on line photography courses, and contribute to Digital Photography School, Flickr, and Getty Images.

I was awarded Photographer of the Year at the Photography Group of Bunbury in 2018, and runner up in 2017 and 2019.  In 2018 I was awarded the "emerging artist" award at the Dardanup Art Spectacular.

In 2020 I was awarded second place - photography - at the South West Virtual Arts Spectacular.

  3. I used your Lilly Pilly jam recipe today using 750 gms of seeded lilly pillys and one and one third cups of raw sugar. Cooking time was 1.5 hours altogether. It's superb. Thank you Jill.
