I don't know about you but I feel that December is speeding up as we head towards the Christmas season and the end of the year. I seem to have so much to do between now and Christmas. My husband has started our Christmas cards and put up our outside lights. I haven't even put up our tree and or started baking yet!
So to take some of the pressure off, today I am just sharing a few random images from my world - in no particular order.
the agapanthus in my garden
lunch in a favourite garden restaurant during a quick day trip to Perth for business - The Secret Garden - in Angelo Street in South Perth. Here is their link - The Secret Garden Cafe
hearts for love - from next door at the Garden Affair
The Jacarandas are blooming
my grandson's birthday pavlova - the undecorated piece is for my second grandson - that is how he wanted it! (I always wait till after his birthday on the 7 December to put up our Christmas tree - it's the 9th now, so I better get to it!)
A sewing project - to sew collected badges onto camping rugs for my grandsons
cushions made from coffee bean sacks in a cafe where I shared breakfast with a friend
The Australian Christmas trees are blooming for Christmas
a few favourite books from my childhood
editing my latest writing project and choosing what short courses I want to do at summer school in January
some quiet time walking by the estuary
and the school library where I have been volunteering on Friday mornings this past 6 months
So that's about it. I wonder what your December is looking like right now. Do you feel like time is speeding up towards the end of the year? Perhaps you would like to tell us about it in the comments. If life gets too busy I might just take time out with a box of pencils and a colouring book. What about you?
Thank
you so much for stopping by. I value your comments and look forward to
hearing from you. I will try to visit your blogs in return. Have a
wonderful week.

Agreed - time is just flying by! Love love your agapanthus and jacaranda!
ReplyDeleteI know ... the month is speeding by. I've never seen the Christmas tree in real life. They look like they end up covered in flowers. Those hearts are so cute. I hope your Christmas tree goes up soon. Maybe a job for your Grandkids.
ReplyDeleteOh loved the wrap of your month. The Agapanthus in your garden ... what a perfect specimen. Where is the Secret Garden in Perth - it looks gorgeous and it is secret because I haven't stumbled across it yet!
ReplyDeleteRandomosity, my new favorite word! I could have used it yesterday as I stared at the computer screen trying to focus on the one thing I wanted to write about this week. I must have started three different posts, and could have used this idea! Happy week and happy holiday decorating.
ReplyDeleteSuch colorful shots - they brighten up a gloomy winter morning.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing at http://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2015/12/smithsonian-art-museum-west.html
The Jacaranda is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteAnd a blooming Christmas tree - wow :)
Lovely collage of scenes and colors. Our trees (except firs) have lost their leaves and are bare. The high winds and torrential winds we have had the last 4 days have washed all color away. I have been sick the last 4 days and the gray days have made me melancholy.
ReplyDeleteI love to hear about what other bloggers get up to. You certainly get out and about a lot Jill. I am enjoying seeing the Jacarandas, Agapanthus and Poinciana Trees bloom all over the Gold Coast. It is so pretty to see them everywhere. Thanks for your lovely photos. :)
ReplyDeleteForgot to mention he Frangipanis as well. We have white, pink and yellow ones in the gardens in our street. They smell divine!
ReplyDeleteThese shots are excellent. Love all the trees blooming. Thank you for sharing your image with "Through My Lens"!

Beautiful photos , I loved visiting WA and Perth - though not so much the city side.
ReplyDeleteHi Jill, just finally catching up a bit...goodness where does the time go... The flowers, your little adornments are so pretty pretty. I have never had Pavlova that I can remember, but I have a very nice recipe collection with a couple of recipes for it among them and after seeing this that you made for your grandson, I must one day try it...hugs to you

ReplyDeleteThe Secret Garden Cafe looks mighty cozy tucked inside a haven of trees. Your landscape is so wonderfully lush. Enjoy all your decorating and baking before the holidays Jill :) This year it snuck up on me so very quickly (as it seems to every year - especially since the boys are growing like trees before my eyes!) xo
ReplyDeletep.s. Thank you again for sharing the beautifully moving concert on FB... I loved it.
DeleteA great series of images, Jill! I could identify with many of those; your favourite books, the Agapanthus, the Jacarandas (Brisbane was stunning this year in a sea of purple), the estuary looks gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteJill, I see the Bobbsey Twins among your favorite books. I read that series avidly when I was a child. Lovely to see all your blooming trees and flowers. Happy Holidays - hope the tree is up!
